This past weekend we had a contest. An NFL pick-em contest. We had 16 entries and we now have 3 winners. How bout those odds?

Lax Updates

It’s been a big week here in Bloomington in regards to the program. Deets:

- Earlier this week we got the scarves I previously posted about. Pretty cool material. I’m a fan.

- Captains have been named. Coach Tumbas will be releasing the official press release soon, but if your checking up with us on Facebook you’ll know that our captains for the 2011-2012 season are Jeff Redish (Dallas, TX), Matt Anderson (Indianapolis, IN), Peter Moore(Chicago, Il), and James Maher (Montclair, NJ). Couldn’t be more pleased with the decision. Jeff was a captain last year and performed fantastically through tough season. Matt, Peter and James are all first time captains, but are clear leaders of our team. I know they’re all going to do a great job this fall and on through to the spring.

- We got our practice shorts yesterday night.

Fun stuff. They look good. The material is a little lighter than the shorts last year and feature the blog logo. What’s not to like. No more numbers, but added an IU logo. Overall, they look and feel fantastic and I can’t wait to get out there tomorrow night and don them at practice.

We’re at study tables tonight. But tomorrow we’re on the field again. Wacky Thursday. Can’t wait.
