Valentine’s Day
Editor’s Note: Peter Moore discusses Valentine’s Day ideas.
——————————————————————————————————————-
It’s February 14th, two things are going on. It’s Valentine’s Day, but more importantly and with less hassle there is no more football to watch. It is sad, the week after the Super Bowl, I had no idea what to watch on TV this weekend it was crazy sad. But we were able to keep occupied by trying to think of the best Valentines gifts. Besides all things lacrosse, we came up with a little list of our favorite ideas for the day. Besides all the jewelry and flowers, we picked our game up and went a little differently this year.
Heart Pizza
How can you go wrong with pizza? How can you go wrong with a heart shaped pizza, with her favorite toppings? You absolutely cannot. It’s a win, win, delicious and heart felt. She will know you really care ‘when you have her favorite mushrooms and olives that you still cant understand why they are on pizza.
Fundies
We’ll just include a link here in case anyone is actually interested.

When you get a girlfriend lingerie, that’s great, but you never get to wear the lingerie, or at least I hope not. With underwear for two, both of you get to have a new pair of underwear. It’s just really big if you wear it by yourself, so make sure you have a partner.
Edible Underwear
We won’t go there.
Dinner
Letting your girlfriend cook dinner is a great idea. She would probably love doing this while you watch whatever is on ESPN. It will be a great idea to try this, it’s great for the both of you.
Now, Lax Chat
Final week till our first game. Lots going in the Cougar Mellencamp arena, as well as in everyone’s heads. The butterflies have already started to make appearances for me, and probably everyone else. We had a good week of practice last week, and a nice little team meeting Sunday, there was no football so it was okay. We have gone over the scouting reports for both Virginia Tech, as well as Wake Forest. Both teams should make for interesting and fun first games of the season.
I have been chatting a little with my friend on Va. Tech, and he has assured me that they are going to be looking good in their uniforms, but I am not too worried about that.
We will have just two practices this week, as well as one chalk talk on Tuesday. These practices will be just a bit different than others, as we are preparing for games. We still have to go hard throughout practice, but lay off each other just enough to keep everyone healthy. We will also be doing a bit more situational work. This will all be needed to play our best come Friday night.
The itineraries have been issued out to the players, and besides the two games, this weekend is going to be a tiring one. With a ten and a half hour bus ride, then a short night at a hotel, and another bus ride, I am sure everyone will be exhausted, but ready to play. This is an exciting weekend in the history of Indiana University Lacrosse. It marks the beginning of a new era A.T., figure it out.
Good luck in all your laxventrues and stay safe.
NOTES:
What will we do next fall if there is a lockout?
I am already a fan of the Destroyers, I am one step a head.
