Twitter Secrets
Accompanied to above tweet was the following Twitpic:
Scarves? I’ve never owned a scarf. Looks pretty warm to me.
To be honest, I had no idea these were being made until I saw that tweet. I also have no idea if we will be receiving said scarf, but I sure hope so. Great work by Enigma Apparel out of Thailand. Check out some of their work on this Thailand Lacrosse scarf. I hope ours looks half as good as that. The IU academics seal is a great start. That logo also appeared on our practice reversibles from last season.
Example A: Notice the upper left of the reversibles on Jon Teng and Jimmer Maher
This leads me to the next twitter secret.
Exciting. Then I saw this today:
Those look a lot like shorts.
Yeah, I think they’re shorts. Featuring the LacrosseRoads of America logo! How can I not approve of these? Our practice gear has come a long way in 4 years. I’ll be sure to feature the Indiana Lacrosse apparel over my 4 years here. Always evolving, very circular.
“It’s like a carousel. You put the quarter in, you get on the horse, it goes up and down, and around. Circular, circle. Feel it. Go with the flow.”
The last twitter secret regards the schedule.
Coach Tumbas sent out the tentative schedule to all the returners over the summer. We had most of our games/trips scheduled but there were still a few open dates. It looks as if Coach T has added a few more quality opponents this year. Can’t wait to see who else we’re going to be playing.
Hoosier Football
Indiana Football opens up the season this Saturday against Ball State at Lucas Oil Stadium. Start of a new era. Win with Wilson. Check out this article that was featured on Bill Simmons’ Grantland website. It’s a long one, but it really highlights all the changes that new coach Kevin Wilson has implemented and how the program is headed in an incredibly positive direction.
Who are our favorite players?
#88 WR Damarlo Belcher (NFL Bound, you heard it here first, or maybe second), #41 TE Max Dedmond (former roommate of former IU Laxer Dan Helfrich) and #44 DE Derrius Johnson (Did a group project with him for my Sports and Violence class, the guy’s a PowerPoint whiz.) We’ll be tracking these three athletes throughout the football season. Best of luck this Saturday against Ball State.
Enjoy your three day weekend!
IU Lax Fantasy Football Draft is on Labor Day. Team BOB AIKENS is the early favorite as always. Team Suda will be sure to stop updating after week 3.
