Summer Lovin’ Happened So Fast
Tell me more, tell me more.
Happy summer. I hope everyone took some time to pamper their mother on Sunday. I wasn’t home but I managed to get a gift for her. There was a point in my life, 7th and 8t grade to be exact, where mothers in Wilton actually sacrificed their Mother’s Day celebration. We used to travel down to Princeton and compete in the Hopewell Valley tournament. It was something I looked forward to very much for the chance to play some teams from a different state. I never really appreciated that my mom and all the other moms skipped out on their holiday so that we could play lacrosse.
It was awesome that they did that and can’t thank them enough. But I’m left with a question; is it because the town is crazy or were the mothers secretly lacrosse fanatics? Discuss amongst yourselves.
If the San Jose Sharks lose tonight, are they the biggest choke artists in the history of the NHL playoffs?
Yes.
Summer in Bloomington has been everything you’d think it would be, quiet. Luckily my roomies are still here otherwise I might be going crazy. Going from 200 person classes to 15 person ones is sort of a culture shock, perhaps even overwhelming or should I say underwhelming? But I’ve had plenty of time to think on my hands so let’s ponder this together.
By now you’ve read the struggle Coach Tumbas has had finding the correct shade of crimson/ varsity red. Also, there have been plenty of teams who have used retro colors on uniforms this season. BYU, Colorado, and Colorado State have featured retro logos and colors, which lead me to this. What if next season we went with the IU late 90’s approach? These uniforms worn by the football team had black and a brighter shade of red, two colors which are available by all companies who make lacrosse equipment/apparel/anything else. More importantly, it might open up our limited options. Sure, it’s not traditional, but it could be pretty sweet and adding a third color into the mix never hurt any customization options.
Just thinking outside of the box here. Pastabilities.

And only because it’s Summer, sort of. It’s 85 here, deal with it.
