A few notes from IU’s 22-0 victory over Wabash.
Eleven different Hoosiers registered goals. Twelve different Hoosiers have scored on the year.
Four players registered hat tricks. Alex Eaton, Nate Vickery, Brent Balek, and David Sandberg.
Vickery, Balek, and Eaton are all from Carmel High School (IN).
Vickery, Balek, and Sandberg are all freshmen.
Trevor Blossom, David King, and Vickery all scored their first career goals.
Eight of the 22 goals were assisted, a number we’d like to improve. Nine different Hoosiers have recorded an assist this season.
Wabash, like Robert Morris, featured a small roster and provided little resistance. Our roster is very young. This year’s schedule was designed to ease our freshmen and sophomores into the grind of the spring. Over the last two seasons, we have only won seven games. It was important for us to create a schedule that would allow us to learn how to win games and build momentum for the future. We have cleared our first two hurdles.
This weekend we play our first games against MCLA D1 competition, Ohio and Kentucky. Ohio’s game is at 8pm and Kentucky’s game is at 5:30. Both games will be at Bishop Chatard in Indianapolis.
Best of luck to Wabash this spring.
