Indiana Defeats Robert Morris: Key Stats

The Hoosiers defeated Robert Morris 21-2 on Sunday in our season opener. Some important figures for your consideration.

  • Junior Keegan McQuillan registered 2 goals and 5 assists. His previous career high was 3 points, a mark he reached three times in 2012.
  • Freshmen and sophomores accounted for 17 of the 21 goals.
  • Junior David Atanus recorded his first career point, an assist on freshman Michael Snodderly’s first career goal, in the fourth quarter.
  • Five freshmen scored their first career goal, Michael Snodderly, David Sandberg, Brent Balek, Nick Hylant, David Haggerty.
  • Sophomore Alex Eaton, who joined the team this year, scored five goals.
  • Nine different Hoosiers scored. Last year, we had 13 goal scorers throughout the course of the season.
  • Indiana scored 21 goals on 52 shots over 47 possessions.
  • This is the seventh double digit goal scoring output for the Hoosiers since the 2011 season. In 2011, we scored double digits only once. In 2012, we scored double digits five times.
  • The last time the Hoosiers scored 21 goals was in 2006 against Ball State. IU won 21-9.
  • Senior goalie Peter Moore and sophomore Ward Weber each played a half.
  • Indiana was called for stalling twice in the game due to slow substitution patterns.
