We’re starting week two here in Bloomington. We had a great week of practices last week, as well as two study halls and chalk talks. Practices have been up-tempo and fast paced at all times. We’re a much deeper team this year, with multiple quality players at every position, so there’s no excuse not to be moving at 100% when we are on the field this year. Here are two long poles who are relatively new to the IU family who will surely see the field a lot this year. Meet Kevin Moriarty and Joey Morstein. (We apologize for the link, the video decided it didn’t want to embed)
We have practice tonight, right before they stop serving fourth-meal at Taco Bell. These late practices can be draining, especially for those that have early classes the day after. It’s important to take advantage of the oft-underutilized mid to late afternoon nap. You might be eating dinner around then but at around 5:30 pm theres an 86.7% chance that 100% of the IU lacrosse players are asleep. We need the sleep now because the season is slowly approaching. Roughly 6 more weeks until game one in Indianapolis.
